Salehi: Tehran-Tunis Political Ties Are Growing

Tehran, Dec 12, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi said on Tuesday that Tehran-Tunis political relations are satisfactory and on a growing trend. He made the remarks in a meeting with Tunisia's new ambassador to Tehran Khaled Zitouni. Salehi said that the two countries enjoy extensive capacities to develop economic cooperation including trade and tourism as well as Iranian partnership in carrying out economic development projects in Tunisia. Salehi called for enhanced scientific and cultural cooperation, adding that implementing the agreements already reached in the 11th joint Economic Cooperation Commission would serve expansion of bilateral relations. Zitouni said for his part that he would endeavor to expand cooperation in all domains with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The new ambassador submitted copy of his credentials to the foreign minister./end
