Senior Officials Of Bhutan, Swaziland, Cameroon, Mozambique In Tehran For NAM Summit

Tehran, Aug 29, IRNA – Prime ministers of Bhutan and Swaziland as well as Cameroon deputy foreign minister and minister of social affairs of Mozambique arrived here Wednesday to attend the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). Prime Minister of Bhutan Lyonpo Jigme Thinley arrived in the Iranian capital from the United Arab Emirates, heading a 16-member high-ranking delegation. He was welcomed at the airport by Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi. Speaking to reporters upon his arrival at the airport, Thinley expressed satisfaction with Iran's hosting of the NAM Summit. Referring to the present economic, cultural and political crises facing the world countries, the Bhutanese prime minister expressed hope that the Tehran Summit would take effective steps towards solving those problems. Meawhile, Prime Minister of Swaziland Barnabas Sibusiso Slamini, as well as Deputy Foreign Minister of Cameroon Adam Gargum and Minister of Social Affairs of Mozambique Feliciano Salomao Gundana arrived here Wednesday for the NAM Summit. The event is to be participated by the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, President of Egypt Mohamed Morsi, Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh and President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas./end
