Senior Zimbabwean officials will attend NAM summit in Iran

TEHRAN, May 6 (MNA) - High-ranking Zimbabwean officials will attend the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in Iran in late summer, Zimbabwe’s ambassador to Tehran told the Mehr News Agency. Ambassador Nicholas Dlamini Kitikiti also expressed satisfaction over the exchange of visits between Harare and Tehran. For example, he said, about three months ago the Zimbabwean defense minister visited Iran. Dlamini Kitikiti added Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visited Zimbabwe last year and this shows that the relation between the two countries is “friendly and strong”. The ambassador said since the Islamic Revolution all Iranian presidents have visited Zimbabwe. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution visited Harare when he was president, he added.
