Serbian MP: Economic Sanctions Against Iran Have Failed

Belgrade, Nov 29, IRNA – A Serbian Parliamentarian said on Monday that the Islamic Republic of Iran has turned into a big economic, scientific and political power and all sanctions against the country have failed. Speaking to IRNA, he said Iran has been the target of various sanctions since 1979 but they have not had any negative impact on the country and have rather helped it turn into a regional scientific and economic power. Referring to recent IAEA report on Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities, he described the report as illegal and politically-motivated issued under the US pressure. the IAEA chief proved that the international organization has lost its independence, he said. Referring to regional and global developments, he said the US is against establishment of peace and security across the globe and in the Middle East region in particular. Silence of global powers on stockpiling of atomic bombs by the Zionist regime is a big catastrophe, he underlined. On the threats made against Iran by the Zionist regime and its allies, he said any military action againt Iran will lead to complete annihilation of the Zionist regime and eventually to the collapse of capitalism./end
