S.Leader To Address Leaders Of NAM Summit

Tehran, Aug 6, IRNA -- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei will address the 16th Non-Aligned Movement Summit of Leaders in Tehran, It was announced on Sunday. Spokesman of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement Summit of Leaders Mohammad Reza Forqani told reporters that United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon is expected to take part in the Summit. Forqani said that according to the latest consensus about 31 heads of states have officially expressed their readiness to take part the meeting. “10 countries at level of foreign ministers, four others at the level of special representative and others at the level of ambassador will take part in the Summit,” he added. The spokesman said the meeting will have special guests of the Summit will be Russian and Turkish Presidents Vladimir Putin and Abdullah Gul respectively who have received invitations so far. The 16th NAM Summit of Leaders will be held in Tehran from August 26-31. The Islamic Republic of Iran will undertake NAM presidency for the next three-year period. Egypt is currently the NAM president.
