S.Leader Condoles Survivors Of E. Azarbaijan Quakes

Tehran, Aug 13, IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Sunday issued a message on the occasion of two deadly earthquakes which rocked the northwestern province of East Azarbaijan on Saturday. Part of the Supreme Leader’s message reads, “The bitter incident of East Azarbaijan’s earthquake is quite sorrowful. May Allah grant mercy to the deceased ones and expedite the healing of the injured ones and also grant patience to the survivors of the tragic incident. Ayatollah Khamenei urged the officials and the public to do their best for alleviating the pains of the survivors who have lost their loved ones in the horrific incident. Two earthquakes measuring 6.3 and 6.4 on the Richter scale rocked and devastated several villages in the northwestern East Azarbaijan province on Saturday./end
