S.Leader Voices Support For Iran Nuclear Negotiating Team

Tehran, Nov 3, IRNA – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Sunday strongly supported Iranˈs nuclear negotiating team, underlining however ˈAn enemy that is smiling at us should not be trusted.ˈ The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a Sundayˈs meeting with thousands of university and school students on the occasion of Aban 13 (November 4) marking the National Day to Fight Global Arrogance. The past records of the US indicate that the Americans misuse Iran’s peaceful nuclear program as an excuse to justify their continued enmity with Iran and therefore no one should be deceived by their smiles. “It would be better if these talks bear fruit otherwise we will have to mull our own problems in order to resolve them,” said Ayatollah Khamenei. In November 4, there are three outstanding historical events namely the exile of late Imam Khomeini for his anti-capitulations remarks, merciless massacre of school students in Tehran by the then regime and takeover of US den of espionage by revolutionary students, said Ayatollah Khamenei. Since the US has had a part in all these events, the day was designated as the day to fight -global arrogance, said the Supreme Leader. Iranian revolutionary students by taking over the US embassy enlightened the the world public opinion on the illegal activities of the embassy known as den of espionage, said the Supreme Leader. Soon after storming the US embassy, the Iranian youths labeled it as den of espionage and now three decades after the incident it has been disclosed that all American embassies in European states are engaged in spying activities and this proves that the Iranian youths taking over the US embassy in Tehran were ahead of their time, said the Supreme Leader. Arrogant powers allow themselves to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and are not accountable to anyone for their wrongdoings, Ayatollah Khamenei said. The nations and individuals unwilling to give up their struggles with arrogant powers like Iran are against these powers, said the Supreme Leader. The US administration is a type of arrogant power that authorizes itself to interfere in domestic affairs of all nations, said Ayatollah Khamenei. Revolutionary people in Iran will continue withstanding all bullying acts of the US, said Ayatollah Khamenei. The US is now the most hated power in the world, underlined the Supreme Leader. “If fair and just polls are conducted in the world, the US administration will be chosen as the most hated government in the world,” said the Supreme Leader. Struggle with global arrogance and designation of a national day to fight global arrogance is an essential issue, said the Supreme Leader. Some tried to mislead public opinion and imply that if the country gives up its nuclear right, all its economic and non-economic issues will be resolved, the Supreme Leader said. Iran’s nuclear program is only an excuse for them and even if Iran drops the pogram, they will resort to other issues such as Iran’s progress in missiles industry, its opposition to the Zionist regime and its support for the Lebanese resistant movement, Ayatollah Khamenei said.
