SPEAKER MEETS AMBASSADOR OF KUWAIT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Speaker of the State Great Khural (parliament) Z.Enkhbold Wednesday received Mr Halid Al-Fadli, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kuwait to Mongolia, in the State House. The Speaker congratulated Mr Halid on being appointed the new Ambassador to Mongolia, and discussed the Mongolia-Kuwait friendly relations and cooperation. Mr Enkhbold noted that the countries have the traditional friendly relations, and hoped that the new Ambassador will widen these ties. He also expressed a gratitude to the Kuwait Foundation for making investments to Mongolia’s infrastructure and energy sectors and implementing projects. The bilateral ties are possible to develop not only in the political and economic spheres, but also in other fields, he added. In turn, Mr Halid said he will do all his best to boost the inter-parliamentary ties and to activate mutual visits of parliaments. He expressed a willingness of the Kuwait Foundation to expand the cooperation by continuing its investments to Mongolia. The dignitaries also considered ways of accelerating a construction of the House of Parliament. Emphasizing an importance of initiatives of the inter-parliamentary groups in forwarding the inter-parliamentary ties, Mr Enkhbold said these groups are ready to collaborate in this matter. Present at the meeting was also L.Enkh-Amgalan MP, a head of the Mongolia-Kuwait inter-parliamentary group.
