Speaker meets delegates of national committee

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Speaker of parliament Z.Enkhbold Tuesday received a delegation of the Trilateral National Committee for Labour and Social Agreement, including Ya.Sanjmyatav MP, a chief of the national committee and the Minister of Labour; Kh.Amgalanbaatar, president f the Mongolian Trade Unions (MTU); and Kh.Ganbaatar, head of the Unified Association of Employers (UAE). The Speaker and national committee officials exchanged views on the law on civil health insurance, amendments to the law on VAT and package law on taxes, on a package law on trade, and laws on indexing salaries, pension and allowance and on baby-sitting, which have been initiated by decisions made by the trilateral national committee. They also shared opinions on rendering support to the monitoring over implementation of a bill for promoting the “From Big Government to Smart Government” initiative and some programmes and decisions. Some of the laws mentioned by the Speaker are included in the agendas to be discussed at the parliamentary spring session, the committee members said. “Many entities with foreign investments are being established in Mongolia, but they are not adhering to the equal salary system by the labour law. So, it is required to make clear the principle of imposing responsibilities upon those entities that do not maintain the law,” they stressed, and expressed their positions on selling company stock under the market economy principle, on VAT and inflation rate matters.
