Speaker receives Russian Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Speaker of parliament Z.Enkhbold Tuesday received Mr V.V.Samoilenko, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia The Ambassador, who has completed his diplomatic mission here, "has significantly contributed to forwarding of the Mongolia-Russia good neighborhood relations, including the inter-parliamentary ties, the latter must be activated more, for example, ties between parliamentary groups and political parties, and the inter-citizen ties as well." He went on that it is vital for the sides to maintain a frequency of high-level mutual visits and talks for the sake of the cooperation development, and affirmed that the Chairman of the Federal Assembly of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Mr Sergey Naryshkin has been invited to Mongolia. He hoped that a Russian parliamentary delegation will take part in the session of Northeast Asian Women Parliamentarians which will run this November 24-25 in Ulaanbaatar. The Speaker also said that a Vice Speaker of the State Great Khural and head of the Mongolia-Russia inter-parliamentary group L.Tsog intends to visit Russia this month, and mentioned he supports the intergovernmental talks on visa waiving for the two nations, hoping that "such an agreement will give impetus to the inter-citizen ties and to the economic and trade cooperation". In response, Mr Samoilenko thanked the Speaker for appreciating his efforts and underlined an importance of the forthcoming visit of the Mongolian Vice Speaker in the bilateral relations and cooperation, especially in the inter-parliamentary ties. Mr Samoilenko also noted that the Mongolia-Russia relations have been widening in the culture, education, sciences, sport and humanitarian sectors, and reported that the Russian cultural days will be represented here by some 100 delegates. The Ambassador said he will continue making efforts to fortify the bilateral relations.
