Speaker receives Turkish Ambassador

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Chairman of the State Great Khural Z.Enkhbold Monday received the Ambassador of Turkey in Mongolia M.Sarnic, in connection with the latter’s returning home. The Speaker regarded the two countries’ age-long, traditional and friendly relations, and expressed a satisfaction in Mongolia-Turkey ongoing successful cooperation in politics, defense, trade, economy, culture, education and science. He recalled his earlier visit to Turkey, where he had met the Prime Minister R.Erdogan and the Speaker C.Cicek, and highlighted his thorough conversations with them. Mr Enkhbold also underlined the significance of Turkey’s upcoming project to grant a soft loan of USD 300 million to Mongolia for introducing Turkey’s construction technologies, experiences, and for keeping down house prices here. He highly spoke of the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) in Ulaanbaatar, noting its invaluable contribution to trade and economic relations, as the agency has been implementing many large-scale economic projects and united programs here. In response, Mr Sarnic said that during his mission here many projects have been realized between the two countries, including the official visits of the Speaker Z.Enkhbold to Turkey and of Turkish PM R.Erdogan to Mongolia. He suggested adding weekly flight numbers from Ulaanbaatar to Istanbul, "it will increase number of Turkish tourists to Mongolia". Both countries have a great opportunity to cooperate in tourism, as Turkey is one of the major tourist destinations, attracting 36 million a year, Mr Sarnic added. Ending the meeting, the Speaker highly spoke of the Ambassador’s contribution to the Mongolia-Turkey relations and cooperation, and wished him a success in further career.
