Standing committee on economy reports

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Head of the parliamentary Standing committee on economy J.Batsuuri and S.Demberel MP Wednesday called a news conference to highlight their committee's works done within the 2014 autumn session of parliament. A majority of the works focused on the issues such as determining of basic guidelines for the 2015 fiscal policy, intensifying the national economy, increasing benefits of the economic free zones, upgrading a legal environment, and a draft law on the 2015 budget, said J.Batsuuri. The committee also issued its views and conclusions on these matters, he added. The committee met 23 times, while working groups for bills preparation--83 times. It discussed 58 issues (at a duplicated counting), prepared 49 views, conclusions and presentations to have them considered by plenary meetings of the session. The Standing committee discussed and approved 20 draft laws and parliamentary 17 draft resolutions, discussed matters on consulting five international contracts and agreements regarding economy and credits. Many views and conclusions were sent to the Standing committee on security and foreign policy, said Batsuuri. After the committee's discussions, the session adopted a draft new wording of the law on the economic free zone, 18 relevant bills, draft resolutions of parliament on some measures for implementing the state policy on railway transportation, on some measures for adhering to the 2015 fiscal policy, on approving a programme on overcoming economic difficulties, and others, the Standing committee head said.
