Stop sending arms to all groups in Syria: Russian president

TEHRAN, April 10 (MNA) – In a press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Hannover, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized the need to stop sending weapons to all groups in Syria. The ‘Russia Al Youm’ TV quoted Putin as saying: “I believe, we have to stop sending weapons to all groups involved.” He said; Russia is ready to host a meeting with all countries involved to examine how to end the bloody massacre in Syria. Putin also responding to accusation of Russia supplying weapons to Damascus said: “if we send weapons to Syria, it is delivered to a legitimate state, and there is no international resolution to prevent that.” German Chancellor Angela Merkel also emphasized the need for political dialogue which has not yet started, and called for a political solution to the problem of Syria and said: “to avoid bloodshed and killing more people, all necessary measures have to be taken.”
