Syria’s opposition, government likely to agree common document at Moscow consultations - participant in talks

MOSCOW, April 9. /TASS/. Representatives of Damascus and the Syrian opposition are close to agreeing a common document in the current round of intra-Syrian consultation in Moscow, Mays Kurdi, the secretary of Syria’s National Democratic Front, told a news conference on Thursday. "The negotiations are not yet over, so, we don’t want to be too optimistic. We will not try to anticipate things," she said. "Today, accord seems more close but certain problems do exist," the noted. "We are discussing a document presented by Syria’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations Bashar al-Jafari. We are trying to converge two documents - those of the opposition and the government." "Most of stumbling blocks have been surpassed," she said. "Before we left the meeting room, the discussion centered round intra-Syrian truce, support to the Syrian army in anti-terrorist efforts. The idea of anti-terrorism struggle unites al of us."
