Syria Extradites Prisoners To Iran

Damascus, Nov 11, IRNA -- Syria will extradite 17 Iranian prisoners in Syria to Iran to continue their prison terms. An informed source at Iranian consulate in Damascus told IRNA that the move will be performed in the framework of extradition of prisoners between Iran and Syria. He said that the process will take some time because judicial procedure normally takes time. 17 Iranians have been sentenced to prison terms in Syria, but they will be transferred to Tehran prisons because of the current situation. Syria accepted to extradite them for the difficulty families of prisoners have to meet them in Syrian prison. They will pass their prison terms in Iran for the sake of their families, according to a mutual agreement between the two countries judicial bodies./end
