Syria to give a crushing response to Israel: Iran

TEHRAN,May 7(MNA) – The Iranian defense minister said that Syria will give a crushing response to Israel, which recently carried out airstrikes on the Arab country. “The (attack) demonstrated the aggressive nature of the Zionist regime, and the Syrian government will definitely give a crushing response to this regime,” Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said on Monday. The Zionist regime should be contained, otherwise certain developments would happen in the region whose winners would not be the United States and the Zionist regime, Vahidi said. “If such a trend continues, it is possible that other countries in the region will become the target of the Zionist regime’s acts of aggression,” he added.
