Syrian FM Arrives In Tehran

Tehran, July 29, IRNA – Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Moallem heading a high-ranking political delegation arrived here Sunday for talks with Iranian officials. Upon his arrival, Al-Moallem was warmly welcomed by his Iranian counterpart Ali-Akbar Salehi. Speaking to IRNA, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in his talks with Iranian officials, Al-Moallem would discuss the ways to foster Tehran-Damascus commonalities, latest developments in Syria and regional and international issues. According to Amir-Abdollahian, while in Tehran, the Syrian foreign minister is to hold talks with Salehi, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Saeed Jalili./end
