Syrian National Coalition’s participation in Moscow-3 to depend on specific conference arrangements

MOSCOW, August 11. /TASS/. The decision on the participation of the National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces in the next conference of the Syrian opposition in Moscow will be based on the specific arrangements for such a meeting, deputy head of the coalition Hisham Mrue has told TASS. "When we receive a relevant invitation, we will make the decision on the basis of its content, the schedule of the conference and its participants," he said. The National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces was invited to take part in the two previous meetings in Moscow but did not take advantage of the invitation. Moscow-1 took place in January 2015, and Moscow -2 was held in April. During the second meeting the parties agreed on the "Moscow principles" that formalized a number of positions of various political forces of Syria aimed at defusing the crisis in the country. Russian presidential envoy for the Middle East and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said earlier on Tuesday that Moscow was prepared to provide a venue for the next meeting, but so far it is not planned.
