Syrian opposition agrees on working document - participant

MOSOW, April 10. /TASS/. The representatives of the Syrian opposition have reached an agreement on a working document during the consultations that took place in Moscow, leader of Popular Front for Change and Liberation Qadri Jamil said on Friday. "This is an unprecedented move in the history of the Syrian crisis. This achievement will become a basis for future steps," he said. According to Qadri Jamil, the opposition’s working document includes the following provisions: settling the Syrian crisis by political means on the basis of the Geneva Communique of June 30, 2012; terminating terrorist attacks; lifting Syria’s economic blockade; achieving accord between Syrians; supporting those who fight against terrorism; returning refugees to their homeland. It urges the world community to exert pressure on the parties to the conflict to halt the bloodshed in the country. The opposition representative noted that the political process included "preserving national sovereignty and national institutions, turning down any decisions based on infringing on the rights of all sides."
