Syrian opposition groups not united: Iranian MP

TEHRAN,Oct.16(MNA) – The chairman of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee has said that Iran like Russia believes that the ground should be prepared for talks between the Syrian government and the opposition groups, but it is not that simple because the opponents are not united. In an interview with the Al-Alam News Network aired on Monday, MP Alaeddin Boroujerdi said there are serious disagreements between opposition groups. However, Iran hopes that it can help resolve the Syrian crisis politically, he added.
