Tamim: Aoun best choice as President

NNA - Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, said that Lebanon has entered a new phase after the presidential elections, seeing the election of General Michel Aoun as a President as the best choice because "President Aoun will lead the country to the safe seashore." President of the Lebanese Republic, General Michel Aoun, in the context of his first day visit to Doha, met with Qatari Emir Tamim at the Qatari Emiri Divan and agreed with him on revitalizing meetings for the higher joint committee between both countries under the chairmanship of the prime ministers of Lebanon and Qatar. Tamim underscored the national role played by Lebanese security apparatuses to preserve stability and security in Lebanon, saying that such matter "encouraged a lot of Qatari families to visit Lebanon during feasts." He voiced his country's readiness to contribute in implementing developmental projects in Lebanon, indicating Qataris' enthusiasm to invest in Lebanon. President Aoun, for his part, highly appreciated the Lebanese Qatari relation, saying that it must be boosted at all levels. Aoun also recapped the accomplished Lebanese military operations against terror. Aoun hoped that Qatar would press restless efforts in favor of unveiling the fate of Lebanese soldiers, Bishops Boulos Yazigi and Yohanna Ibrahim and journalist Samir Kassab, with the Emir promising to continue exerting efforts in this regard until reaching fruitful results. President Aoun invited Emir Tamim to visit Lebanon.
