Tar virtuoso Alizadeh, vocalist Motamedi to perform in Sweden

TEHRAN,June 11(MNA) -- Iranian composer and tar virtuoso Hossein Alizadeh and vocalist Mohammad Motamedi will perform a duet in Sweden in the near future. A repertoire of new compositions by Alizadeh is scheduled to be performed during the concert, Motamedi told . The exact time and place will be announced later. Motamedi said that he enjoys working with Alizadeh and added, “Alizadeh is a musician with significant abilities. He has composed eternal and memorable pieces.” “This is a great honor that Alizadeh has chosen me as a vocalist for his performances,” he stated. Motamedi said that singing traditional songs, which people over time have listened to repeatedly, is a difficult task. “I think it is even harder than the World Cup Final,” he noted. He had previously collaborated with Alizadeh in the concerts performed by Iran’s National Orchestra in Tehran in October 2011.
