Tehran NAM Meet, So Sensitive: Cuban FM

Tehran, Aug 28, IRNA – Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez described here on Tuesday the 16th NAM Summit meeting as an issue enjoying high sensitivity. Talking to reporters upon arrival at the Imam Khomeini airport, Rodriguez said Iran has an important task to hold such international event. He said the ongoing Non-Aligned Movement meeting in Tehran is to review different international questions. He added that the event should also discuss the decisions made by the member countries at the movement's meeting in Havana, Cuba, in 2006. The Cuban minister referred to global peace as one of the important issues to be discussed during the NAM meetings underway in the Iranian capital since August 26. The NAM ministerial meeting is planned for August 28-29, while the summit meeting will be held on August 30-31./end
