Thai DPM, interior minister resigns

BANGKOK, September 28 (TNA) - Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Yongyuth Wichaidit tendered his resignation on Friday, effective on October 1, 2012. Citing personal reasons and different legal interpretations over his eligibility to continue serving the Thai Cabinet, Yongyuth publicly announced that he has already submitted the resignation letter to the Secretariat of the Cabinet. The resignation will not affect Yongyuth’s status as the leader of the ruling Pheu Thai Party and a Pheu Thai list-MP. (TNA)
