Thai embassy in Russian warns tourists to be more careful
BANGKOK, April 4 (TNA) -- The website of the Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow has advised Thai tourists planning to travel to Russia, particularly to Moscow and St Petersburg to be more vigilant on their travel.
In the latest report, up to 11 have been killed and 45 others injured from the bombing that took place in St. Petersburg yesterday, though no Thais were reported dead nor injured by the tragic incident.
The embassy in Moscow has posted on its website on April 4 that Thai visitors planning to visit Moscow and St Petersburg from now on should stay extra vigilant and to always be conscious of their environment and what is going on around them.
The embassy stressed that all tourists must closely follow all updates from the embassy's website at www.thaiembassy.org/moscow and its Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/rtemoscow to increase safety measures for themselves, noting that all Thais traveling abroad should always have a travel insurance.
At 9.23pm, Russia time, the news had reported that parts of the St. Petersburg underground were now back to normal operations, though the Sennata Ploshchad and Technological Institute stations, where the bomb took place, were still closed, with security beefed up at all entrances and exits leading to the underground stations.
