Thai fashion, food products to have high potential in US market

BANGKOK, January 13 (TNA) - Thai products with high-growth potential in the U.S. market this year include fashionable goods and food products. Director-general of Thailand’s International Trade Promotion Department Srirat Rastapana shared the outlook on Sunday, adding that the service business, including Thai restaurants, spa and health services, entertainment, games and software, also had promising prospects. To date, three Thai brands which had successfully penetrated the U.S. market include the Mali Kids, Millions of Color and Andrew & Audrey. Meanwhile, the Thai Trade Centre in New York said the U.S. market was expected to grow 5 percent this year due to rising domestic consumption, a recovering U.S. economy and a decline in unemployment.
