Thai Parliament sets 240-day deadline for Charter changes

BANGKOK, May 9 (TNA) - The Thai Parliament has set a deadline that the country's constitutional changes are to be complete within 240 days. The Parliament agreed at Wednesday’s session that the Constitution Drafting Assembly will have 240 days to complete the Charter rewrite, and that the amended Thai Constitution will have two conditions remained intact, including keeping provisions on the monarchy unchanged and upholding democracy with the King as the head of state.
