Thai people in Israel warned to take precautions

BANGKOK, Dec 8 (TNA) -- The Thai embassy in Tel Aviv has warned Thai people in Israel to take precautions and follow up reports on situations in Jerusalem and nearby areas following protests in Palestinians’ communities. The embassy’s warning via its Facebook page targeted Thai people, especially in Jerusalem and surrounding areas. It advised Thais to cooperate with security measures of local police and avoid crowded public places. The warning was issued as protests started in Palestinian communities in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Ramallah and Gaza in the evening of Dec 6 in the wake of US President Donald Trump’s announcement on the status of Jerusalem. The US president recently stated that the US recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. (TNA)
