Thai PM calls for national reconciliation
BANGKOK, March 22 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has called for national reconciliation, asking all parties to talk and exchange opinions to achieve the goal.
Yingluck told journalists Thueday that she would like to see progress and good atmosphere in the nation and she is waiting for the work of a House committee on national reconciliation.
Thai Defence Minister Air Chief Marshal Sukumpol Suwanatat, meanwhile, acknowledged that it was good for General Sonthi Boonyaratkalin, the leader of a military coup in September 2006 but now the chair of the House committee on national reconciliation, to push for the reconciliation by himself, as he had caused the problem earlier.
Air Chief Marshal Sukumpol said he would wait and see the result of General Sonthi’s attempts, urging all parties to support the national reconciliation process. (TNA)
