Thai PM invites southern females to join women’s development fund
BANGKOK, March 17 (TNA) - Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said Satruday that she plans to invite females in the Thai South to join her government-initiated women’s development fund programme during a mobile Cabinet meeting set to be held in the southern resort Phuket province early next week.
Yingluck told journalists that she is scheduled to explain the merits for southern women joining in the government-run women’s development fund programe in Phang-nga province, near Phuket, on March 19, when she will also inform those living along the southern Andaman Coast that the programme is considered one of her government's urgent policies and how they can access to the new fund to further develop their occupations and to boost their income.
The Thai premier invited women, aged 15 years old upward, to become members of the government's new women's development fund free of charges. (TNA)
