Thailand to report its human trafficking situation to UN
BANGKOK, Feb 28 (TNA) -- Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai attends a meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council on Feb 28 to report the human trafficking situation in Thailand.
Speaking of the 37th session of the human rights council in Geneva, Mr Don said he would describe the Thai human trafficking situation to show that Thailand made more progress than many other countries in tackling the problem.
He said he would warn the meeting not to listen to some parties that violated laws and would also take the opportunity to explain the Thai political situation.
Regarding a request for the Foreign Ministry to review the terms of reference of an electronic auction for an electronic passport production contract, Mr Don said the ministry extended the process of the auction for one month. The extension was the longest allowed and the ministry ensured transparency in the project, Mr Don said. (TNA)
