Turkey’s violation of Syrian airspace meant to get NATO involved: Iranian MP

TEHRAN,June 26(MNA) - MP Hossein Naqavi-Hosseini said that the violation of Syria’s airspace by a Turkish warplane is a conspiracy intended to get NATO involved in the Arab country. “Turkey is seeking to create a commotion to get NATO involved in Syria,” Naqavi-Hosseini, who is the rapporteur of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, told the Persian Service of the Mehr News Agency in an interview published on Monday. Syria confirmed on Saturday it had shot down a Turkish warplane over its territory.
