Turkey to appoint 3 independent ministers before the upcoming elections
ANKARA (A.A) - 08.03.2011 - Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay said on Tuesday that appointment of three independent ministers who would replace ministers of interior, justice and transportation prior to June 12 elections would take place in the Official Gazette till the end of the day.
Speaking to reporters, Atalay said they would be in office till 24 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to Turkish constitution, interior, justice and transportation ministers must resign in five days after the parliament's decision is published in the Official Gazette.
These ministers will be replaced by independent people to be appointed by the Prime Minister.
