Turkey to attend Libya conference in London
ANKARA (A.A) - 24.03.2011 - Turkey's foreign minister has accepted his British counterpart's invitation to attend the upcoming "Libya Conference" in London.
According to diplomatic sources, British Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs William Hague invited Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to the conference during a telephone conversation on Wednesday.
Upon such invitation, Davutoglu told his British counterpart that he would partake in the conference provided that it would be held with the participation of NATO, Arab League and countries of the region.
Commenting on the conference scheduled for March 29, Hague earlier stated that the current situation in Libya and ways to support Libyan nation's demands for a better future would be discussed during the gathering.
