Turkey to begin importing cattle from Hungary after a break of 3 months

BUDAPEST (A.A) - March 4, 2012 - Turkey will begin importing cattle from Hungary after a break of three months. Turkey had stopped importing Hungarian cattle in December, 2011 after some irregularity on health certificates. Hungarian officials said that three Turkish companies who want to import cattle began working with Turkish and Hungarian veterinarians and that, after a screening period of two weeks, Hungarian cattle would be exported to Turkey. In 2011, Hungary sold cattle worth 350 million to Turkey.
