Turkey expects EU to show sensitivity to its fight against terrorism

ANKARA (A.A) - March 11, 2012 - Turkish EU minister said on Sunday that Turkey expected that the EU would show sensitivity to Turkey's fight against terrorist organization PKK. Releasing a message to mark the European Day in Remembrance of Victims of Terrorism, Bagis said that the EU has commemorated victims of terrorism on March 11 for eight years after the attacks staged in Spanish capital of Madrid in 2004. Turkey hoped that the EU would show a similar sensitivity to Turkey's combating terrorism, he said. Madrid attacks showed that terrorism did not have language, religion or race, he said. Bagis added that there was need for a global cooperation in fight against terrorism.
