MAIN OPPOSITION HEAD MEETS PARLIAMENT CHIEF ON OATH-TAKING CRISIS
Leader of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu on Thursday met Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek to discuss the oath-taking crisis at the Turkish Parliament. "We could never solve a huge problem like constitution if we fail to settle this oath-taking issue," Kilicdaroglu reportedly told Cicek. The parliament speaker has pledged to convey Kilicdaroglu's messages to the prime minister, urging the CHP and the Peace & Democracy Party (BDP) to review their decisions not to take oath. "I will do anything in my power to overcome this problem. This is the assembly of the people but the CHP and the BDP are missing. This is a setback for our democracy," Cicek said. 

FORMER HEAD OF TURKEY BROADCAST WATCHDOG SET TO TESTIFY
Zahid Akman, former head of Turkey's television and radio broadcast supervisor, is expected to testify to prosecutors in a probe over an alleged fraud in a Germany-based charity accused of funneling millions of euros into Turkey. Akman, who was arrested on Wednesday, spent the night behind bars at a police station together with 4 other suspects. Prosecutors will ask them around 500 questions.

CICEK PROMISES FOR MAXIMUM EFFORT
Statements, which were made after the meeting between Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek and main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu that was important in the aspect of oath-taking crisis, raised the hopes. Following their meeting, Kilicdaroglu said, "it was a very positive meeting." Also, statements of Cicek were optimistic, "this issue is solved by Parliament. I will try to exert the maximum effort for solution."

5-6 PERCENT GROWTH IDEAL FOR TURKEY
Is Bankasi Director General Adnan Bali said that the basic element in economic growth was stability. He said, "first, you grow very much, then, shrinkage comes, and difficulties appear. This time, you cannot catch 5.5 percent growth rate." Bali noted that 5-6 percent growth range was sustainable.

MATCH-FIXING MONEY IS FROM FEDERATION
According to police file, Football Federation invested five million Turkish lira (TL) in the account of Fenerbahce club as an assistance for facilities on April 21. A part of this money was used for match-fixing.

FENERBAHCE CHAIRMAN DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL, UNDER DETENTION AGAIN
Aziz Yildirim, chairman of Fenerbahce soccer club, was discharged from hospital on Thursday after undergoing an angiogram, and he was put under police detention again as part of an investigation into an alleged match-fixing scandal. Yildirim was expected to appear before a court judge later on Friday.

PREMIER REJECTS OPPOSITION CALL FOR "ASSURANCES" IN OATH-TAKING CRISIS
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday reacted to a call by the main opposition leader to "give assurances" before they could take oath at the Parliament that their arrested lawmakers would be set free. "We do not have any power to give such an assurance," Erdogan told reporters.
