Turkey's main opposition party CHP delegation in Washington

WASHINGTON (A.A) - 30.03.2011 - Turkey's main opposition Republican Poeple's Party (CHP) deputy chairman Osman Koruturk said that his party was a reliable alternative for Turkey.
As we explained our policies and solution offers, U.S. party showed great interest and excitement, said Koruturk who held a press conference after CHP delegation held several talks on the second day of its stay in Washington on Tuesday.
Commenting on CHP's "bad image" in the U.S., Koruturk said that so far other people have been the image-maker of CHP, adding that from now on, CHP would be its own image-maker.
Koruturk said that CHP would increase the number of visits both to the U.S. and other countries, adding that they brought back CHP in international area.
Noting that CHP Chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu was closely followed in the U.S., Koruturk said that Kilicdaroglu could pay a visit to the U.S. after general elections in Turkey on June 12.
Regarding their meeting with Jewish non-governmental organizations, Koruturk said that those organizations expressed their concerns about Turkey-Israel relations, adding that CHP delegation conveyed their evaluations about the issue.
Koruturk said that CHP would assess to open a representation in the U.S. after Turkish general elections.
