Turkey's new ambassador to TRNC presents diplomatic credentials
LEFKOSA (A.A) - 01.04.2011 - Turkey's new ambassador to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) presented his diplomatic credentials to Turkish Cypriot President Dervis Eroglu in Lefkosa on Friday.
Ambassador Halil Ibrahim Akca conveyed goodwill of Turkish President Abdullah Gul to Eroglu, and said that Turkey was proud of the developments TRNC recorded in every area.
Akca said that reaching a fair and permanent solution in Cyprus issue was common will and target of Turkey and TRNC, adding that Turkey supported comprehensive solution talks within that scope.
Akca said that he would exert every effort to further develop the brotherhood, friendship and cooperation between Turkey and TRNC.
Eroglu expressed pleasure over assignment of Akca as Turkey's ambassador in Lefkosa, adding that they would try to overcome the difficulties with the support of Turkey.
Akca replaced ambassador Kaya Turkmen.
