Turkey's president due to Austria on a formal visit
ANKARA (A.A) - 21.04.2011 - Turkey's President Abdullah Gul will pay a formal visit to Austria on May 2-4, his office said on Thursday.
Gul will be the guest of Austrian President Heinz Fischer during his stay in this country.
It will be the first visit of a Turkish president to Austria in almost 13 years.
Gul is expected to exchange views with Austrian executives on bilateral relations and cooperation, Turkey's European Union (EU) membership bid, and regional and international matters concerning the two countries.
President Gul will meet CEOs of Austrian companies, and attend Turkish-Austrian Business Forum together with Fischer.
A Turkish-Austrian Joint Economic Committee meeting will also take place on the sidelines of Gul's visit.
Gul will proceed to Salzburg after completing his talks in Vienna and meet representatives of Turkish community there.
President Gul will also interview with Austrian state TV ORF.
