SANAA (A.A) - August 15, 2011 - ''Kimse Yok Mu'', a Turkish non-governmental charity organization, has delivered food supplies to one thousand families in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, as the country suffers a political turbulence, the organization said Monday.
The 28 thousand tones of food supplies worth 40 thousand USD have been delivered to those in need in 11 different spots in the capital, Mehmet Erkan, a volunteer with the organization, told the Anadolu Agency.
Over 40 percent of Yemen's 23 million population live on 2 USD a day or less while a third of the population are reportedly at risk of chronic hunger.
