Turkish citizens return home, say not faced anything physically disturbing
ANTALYA (A.A) - 23.02.2011 - A number of Turkish people returned home from Libya on Wednesday and said they had not faced any physical disturbance in Libya due to the ongoing turmoil.
A Memphis Airlines plane brought employees of Turkish Ronesans construction company back to Antalya, Turkey from Tripoli, Libya.
Mehmet Onur Oguz, one of Turkish workers, said there was nothing to be concerned about, and asked every one who had relatives in Libya to be calm.
"Turks have not faced any physical disturbance in Libya," Oguz said.
Another worker, Samet Kara also said everybody was in good condition, and every one would be evacuated from Libya within a few days.
Also, Abdullah Ergin said they were treated well in Libya, and Libyan army and people helped Turkish citizens.
Kubilay Ozgur was another Turkish citizen who reiterated that Turks were totally secure in Libya. "Libyan people do not have any problems with Turks, and incidents emerged out of Turkish construction sites," he said.
Ozgur also said some Turkish construction sites were plundered, but then Turks were given back the plundered materials.
The plane carried 173 passengers, including 167 Turks, from Libya to Antalya. Two of the passengers were from Syria, two others were from Guinea, one from Morocco and one from Gambia.
Moreover, an executive of another Turkish construction company said two more planes would bring Turkish workers to Antalya from Tripoli.
