Turkish FM invites UAE counterpart for OIC's Istanbul meeting on Somalia famine

ANKARA (A.A) - August 12, 2011 - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Thursday telephoned his United Arab Emirates counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and invited him to participate in a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation or OIC in Istanbul over drought and famine in Somalia.
The OIC's Istanbul meeting is scheduled for Wednesday next week.
Davutoglu also briefed al Nahyan over his contacts in Syria as well as discussing with the UAE foreign minister latest developments in Libya.
