Turkish foreign minister meets Lebanese socialist leader

ISTANBUL (A.A) - August 6, 2011 - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Saturday met with Walid Jumblatt, the Druze leader of the Progressive Socialist Party, in Istanbul.   
Davutoglu and Jumblatt discussed in their meeting the political situation in Lebanon as well as latest developments in the Middle East, particularly Syria, Libya, "the Arab Spring" and peace process in Palestine, diplomatic sources said. 
Sources said the Turkish side reaffirmed its position on the developments in the region and emphasized the importance Turkey attached to peace and stability in Lebanon.
