Turkish foreign minister says Syria is obliged to face alienation in region

RABAT (A.A) - November 16, 2011 - Turkey's foreign minister said on Wednesday that Syria was obliged to face alienation in the region as it had not accepted Arab League's proposals. Ahmet Davutoglu said that it was impossible for Syria to succeed in its fight against its own people. "Syria is obliged to face alienation in its region," Davutoglu said during the foreign ministers meeting of Turkish-Arab Cooperation Forum in Rabat, Morocco. Davutoglu said nobody could stay before will of people who rushed to streets, demanding freedom and no administration could succeed in fight against its own people. The foreign minister hoped that the region would become a basin of tolerance and stability, adding that Turkey would continue to stand by Syrian people. Syria is not attending the meeting.
