Turkish foreign minister says terrorism can't weaken Turkey's power

ISTANBUL (A.A) - August 17, 2011 - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Wednesday that terrorist attacks could not weaken Turkey's power.
"Such kind of attacks can not damage our fraternity culture. Turkey is resolved and capable of fighting against terrorism and acts aiming at disrupting integrity of the country," Davutoglu said while commenting on the heinous attack on southeastern Hakkari-Cukurca highway that killed seven soldiers on Wednesday morning.
National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz said eight soldiers were killed in a roadside mine blast on Hakkari-Cukurca highway.
"There is nothing they can get from the Republic of Turkey. The Republic of Turkey is the leader in its region in terms of economy and military. They are trying to test our patience. We will defeat them by acting within the scope of laws and democracy. Everybody will see us defeating them," Yilmaz said.
