Turkish foundation IHH continues to extend assistance to flood-stricken Pakistan
ISLAMABAD (A.A) - 25.04.2011 - The Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH) of Turkey continues to extend assistance to flood-stricken Pakistan.
To date, the IHH have helped 85 Pakistani families move into new homes after the recent devastating floods.
The IHH funded the marriage ceremonies of 20 young Pakistanis who lost families in the floods.
The IHH further provided 100 bicycles to children who have had to walk to their schools.
Among the assistance materials the IHH have distributed to Pakistanis are medicines, tents, blankets, stationery items, water filtration systems, textile goods and construction materials.
The foundation's assistance to Pakistan will continue in upcoming days, IHH officials said.
