Turkish PM Erdogan to inaugurate CeBIT fair with German Chancellor Merkel
BERLIN (A.A) - 25.02.2011 - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and German Chancellor Angela Merkel will inaugurate the CeBIT fair in Hannover on February 28.
Turkey is the "Partner Country" at this year's CeBIT trade show. More than 90 Turkish companies are expected to exhibit products at the fair.
In a statement made in Berlin on Friday, the spokesperson for the German government, Steffen Seibert, said that Erdogan and Merkel would inaugurate the CeBIT fair on Monday evening and later hold a tete-a-tete meeting.
As part of his visit to Germany, Erdogan will arrive in Dusseldorf and meet with members of the Turkish community on February 27, address the participants of a meeting to be organized by Turkish-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry on February 28, and attend the inauguration of CeBIT fair in Hannover together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel the same day.
After the inauguration, he is expected to attend a banquet to be held in his honor by the German chancellor.
Economic, commercial and political relations between Turkey and Germany, the Turkish community living in Germany, activities to be held on the 50th anniversary of the signing of a labor force agreement between the two countries, Turkey's EU membership process, the developments in Cyprus, as well as regional and international matters will be on the agenda of Erdogan's talks.
