Turkish premier says Turkey has become a country who has a word to say in world

STRASBOURG (A.A) - 13.04.2011 - Turkey's prime minister said on Tuesday that Turkey had become a country who had a word to say in the world.
Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey had become a country who had a word to say in the world, thanks to its tolerance, dialogue, freedom and democracy fight, and Alliance of Civilizations initiative.
"Islamophobia is as dangerous as racism, and it is inhuman," Erdogan said as he addressed Turks living in Strasbourg, France.
Erdogan said universal goals required tolerance to differences, and humanitarian values required respect to other's life style and belief.
"The last thing that we need is becoming the other, discrimination and polarization," Erdogan said.
Erdogan recommended Turks living in France to become French citizens as they had the right to double citizenship.
Prime Minister Erdogan will address the spring session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on Wednesday.
