TURKISH PREMIER SPEAKS TO EGYPTIAN LEADER AND PAKISTANI PREMIER


ANKARA (A.A) - 21.05.2010 - The Turkish prime minister spoke to the Egyptian president and Pakistani prime minister by phone on Friday, his office said.
Turkey's Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan had phone talks with Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak and Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani regarding Iran's nuclear program and Kosovo's international location.
Erdogan briefed Mubarak and Gilani on the agreement reached in Tehran regarding Iran's nuclear program, and exchanged views with the leaders.
Premier Erdogan also asked Mubarak and Gilani's support to Kosovo's international status.
With the agreement signed by Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Motaki and Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorim on Monday, Iran committed to give the 1200kg of 3.5% enriched uranium to Turkey in exchange for 20% enriched uranium it will receive from Western countries to be used as fuel in the nuclear research reactor in Tehran.
Tehran will receive the enriched uranium from the Vienna Group, comprising of the U.S., France, Russia and International Atomic Energy Agency, in Turkey.
